Description
This module benefits both typical and atypical students with behavioral needs ranging from small to large, including those with ADD/ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Autism. You will begin by learning how to identify a student’s particular behavior needs, design and implement a plan, and put the plan into action. Understanding that behavior plans do not always work the first time, you will recognize when plans need to be tweaked in order to produce a positive outcome. When behavior plans are successful, the goal that was targeted can now be moved to a new goal, which will eliminate yet another undesirable behavior. Learning how to be proactive not only helps with consistency while shaping a behavior, it also shows all students what is expected of them. It is time to quit spinning your wheels! Leave your worries and frustrations behind, for there is a doable plan that will not only help you regain control but will follow well beyond the classroom.
