Think about those conversations you have recently had with yourself, “I’m going to accomplish ….. this year!” Now that you have had several weeks in the classroom or homeschooling your children, have you set a personal goal that “you” want to accomplish?
It doesn’t matter if a goal is big or small; it’s whatever is important to “you”.
Is your goal visible for you to see throughout the day? A goal out of sight is out of mind and will be forgotten, not to mention unaccomplished. Furthermore, you will more than likely keep telling yourself that you need to tackle the same goal time after time, or even year after year. (I bet you are thinking of a goal right now, one that has been on your plate way too long!)
A goal is a “work in progress”.
Follow these three steps to master a goal:
- Post and read your goal daily.
- Take time to make any adjustments along the way.
- Remember to praise yourself for small accomplishments; when the goal is met, reward yourself!
Now, set that GOAL this week!
Visual Learning Resources understands how difficult goal setting can be. If left undone, feelings of being overwhelmed, exhausted, and STRESSED will only add to the pile of work to be accomplished! Check out Module 1, “I’m Overwhelmed! Where Do I Start?” Let us teach you how to set meaningful and measurable goals so you can begin to teach with an organized purpose.
