Do Not Quit

www.visuallearningresources.com

How many times last week did you or your students think of quitting to master a difficult task or simply give up? Stop long enough to ask yourself “why”. More than likely, a goal is not in place. Without setting goals for ourselves, we tend to repeat tasks without a purpose while losing momentum along the way.

According to several studies, only 3% of people set goals and a mere 1% write them down.

Think of all the time and effort you put into teaching for the week and students learning. Are you expecting students to simply go through the days doing what they are told, or is there an underlying goal and purpose? Are they aware of the goal? Let’s consider a 6 hour work day. If there is no goal for the week, up to 30 hours are left behind being less productive! That is a lot of time spent on planning and completing tasks that are less than meaningful, not to mention the frustration you and students are left with at the end of the week!

It is time to make a mindshift to set and master goals!

If you, as a teacher or parent who is homeschooling, are struggling with setting goals, Module 1, “I’m Overwhelmed! Where Do I Start?” will show you how to set meaningful and measurable goals so that you can begin to teach with an organized purpose. Visual Learning Resources will teach you the art of brainstorming while working through the process of goal setting. Once you learn this process, goal setting will not only become easy and meaningful, you will want to build more goals for yourself. The next step is to teach students how to set goals for themselves.

Successful people set goals for themselves and then work hard to achieve them.

What would you say if I told you that student achievement could rise through the roof? Module 4 “I’ve Got This!” shows teachers how this is possible when students are given the tools to set meaningful goals they can achieve. Not only will you learn to teach students how to master goal setting, but school time then becomes driven with a purpose. Teachers and parents who homeschool can learn how to teach students to set short-term goals that are personalized to their needs. Once you master how to run your school days based on goal setting, motivation will increase, and the sky’s the limit to what anyone can achieve.

If setting and mastering goals was easy, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Visual Learning Resources knows your struggles and concerns. We care deeply about teachers, parents who are homeschooling, and students who are learning. Therefore, it is our goal to give you the tools needed to be successful in your journey.

Prayer for the week:

Dear Heavenly Father, let teachers and parents who have chosen to homeschool their children see the importance of their job. Guide each and every one of them as they set a meaningful goal to accomplish this week. Keep them focused on the finish line while casting distractions to the side. We ask for Your guidance along the way. May they be wise in teaching students the importance of setting and mastering goals. Let them see that the fruits of their labor will be multiplied as each new goal is met. Thank you for Your love and guidance throughout the week.

Amen

Have a Great Week!
